A Call to Artists:

Artists are invited to participate in our Art Show, "A Christmas Art Festival - Gallery East - Ocala 2009" to be held December 5th, 6th 2009 at Six Gun Plaza in Ocala FL. Deadline for Application is August 31, 2009 via mail in or through www.zapplication.org. Part of the proceeds will benefit Gallery East, a non-profit artist co-op. Five artists will be chosen for featured articles in press releases and promotional ads, and prizes are planned but will be announced in September 2009.

Any local artists that live in Ocala, Belleview, Lady Lake (surrounding Marion County Residents - Marion, Citrus, Alachua, etc.) will receive a $50 discount off booth fees. For early booth payment prior to jury acceptance, another $35 discount is offered. (Total discounts give artists the opportunity to pay for a single booth fee, e.g., $125 plus a $25 jury fee prior to jury acceptance. If not accepted by jury - booth fees will be refunded as soon as possible.) Jury is ongoing so that artists can make plans instead of waiting for results limiting them to attend other shows. We tried to accommodate artists as much as possible in this endeavor. We also will be seeking business partners of $100 per business which enables them to have a table in the main tent area. These business partners are not permitted to sell but advertise and hand out flyers.

We are trying to ensure that all local art groups are invited so that our local community can enjoy our own artists residing right here in the Ocala area!
