Directors Brad Wages and Kelly Wynn Woodland are seeking performers to audition for Venice Theatre’s next two musical productions. Several male and female actors of all types are needed for the classic MainStage musical, Hello Dolly! (directed and choreographed by Wages) and for the contemporary musical comedy, The Great American Trailer Park Musical. (directed by Woodland)
Auditions for both shows take place Sunday and Monday, November 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. Actors will be seen on a first come, first served basis.
Performances of Hello, Dolly! will be in the MainStage auditorium Tuesdays through Sundays February 19 – March 17, 2013.
Performances of The Great American Trailer Park Musical will be in the Pinkerton Theatre Tuesdays through Sundays February 6 through March 9, 2013.
Auditioners for each show are asked to prepare a song and provide sheet music for the accompanist. The theatre requests that actors do not audition using CD, MP3 or other recorded media. Auditioners will also be asked to read from the script (e-mail rhondasudik@venicestage.com for perusal copies) and should dress comfortably in case they are asked to stay for the dance portion of the audition. More information about the audition process is available at www.venicestage.com or by calling the theatre’s administrative offices at (941) 484-4033.
Auditions and all performances will be held at Venice Theatre located at 140 W. Tampa Avenue on the island in Venice.
