Local photographer exhibits unique work in Siesta Key

Local photographer and citizen, Jeffrey Weisman, has an exhibition of photographs for the month of December at the Local Bean Coffee House in Siesta Key village, 5138 Ocean Boulevard, in the Davidson Plaza.

The Local Bean Coffee House opens at 7:00 A.M. daily.

Weisman’s diverse selection of photographs range from coastal (water and sunset) shots to city scenes, people and lifetime. They include color, black & white and some printed on canvas. These canvas “gallery wraps” have the visual texture of paintings.

Weisman began his photography work as a commercial photographer at the Cranbrook Photographic Studio in a suburb of Detroit. He then pursued a career in advertising and marketing in New York.

Since arriving in Sarasota, he has exhibited his work in art centers and galleries, both here as well as East Hampton, NY. Besides photography, his Web site, www.jeffreyweisman.net, includes essays, both general and political, and short stories..
