The community is invited to explore the arts at North Port City Hall on October 11, 2012.
Demonstrating artists who paint, draw, carve, do ceramics, or create other art will be demonstrating their artwork during a “Night of Art at City Hall” event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on October 11, 2012 at City Hall, 4970 City Hall Boulevard.
This is the third consecutive year that the free event has been hosted and organized by the North Port Art Advisory Board, an advisory board to the North Port City Commission.
“This is an opportunity for the North Port community to celebrate its local artists and learn how to get involved in the local art scene,” said Community Outreach Manager Erin Bryce. “Since its opening in 2006, City Hall has offered a rotating art gallery of local artists, both students and adults. This event is one way for the community to see City Hall, but also meet some of the artists in the community and experience different art forms.”
The North Port Art Advisory Board is seeking local artists who want to be part of the event. Those who are interested can contact Staff Liaison Barbara Wolf at (941) 240-8532 or at bwolf@cityofnorthport.com.
