- About Me
- I am a professional actor, teacher, director, healer and druid. Theatre career: Broadway, Off-Broadway, West End in London, Regional theatres in the States. A cabaret performer and creator and performer of two one woman shows; DISCOURSE OF A MAID-- based on Celtic Mythology and storytelling; ANNIE'S CELTIC KITCHEN-- personal theatre that comes to your home, I am your Seanachie (Gaelic for storyteller) for the night and the stories and songs and proverbs all are centered around my Celtic cook book and the foods the audience is eating. I am a creator, co-founder, artistic director, teacher for two companies working with developmental disabilities. I teach acting, song interpretation, how to create your own personal mythology, Taking a Hero's Journey, and druid related subjects. I give geis giving ceremonies--( geis being an old Celtic tradition of following your contribution to humanity)-- and create journey quest ceremonies for all occasions ie-birthdays, weddings, memorials. I am a faery godmother to 7 children and a Grail maiden to 9 knights. I am a death walker, which means I will walk you through your transition into the Otherworld, and I will follow your belief system. My biggest passion is as a healer. I am an emotional release healer and my job is to keep you safe and open space for the one seeking healing to bring loving light into their emotional body and begin the evolving of their emotions into a place of loving acceptance.I have two books coming out soon on healing and creating theatre for persons with development disabilities. ABOUT CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS: LOST AND FOUND; Going Forward After Lose. Whether you have lost a job, a relationship, divorced, miscarried or lost through death of a loved one, grief and bereavement can be a painful and misunderstood energy of life. Going forward may feel impossible when the natural energy is calling you to be still and drop down within yourself. Allow LOST AND FOUND to guide you through this experience, lovingly and without judgment. The journey will bring you safely and fully into your new and renewed self. FINDING YOUR GRAIL; a workshop on healing and evolving your emotional body. CONVERSATIONS WITH A GRAIL MAIDEN; a druid geis giving ceremony. This is a requested event from audience members of the one woman show DISCOURSE OF A MAID. Come and have fun exploring your contribution to Humanity. CREATING YOUR PERSONAL MYTH; healing through storytelling. With a focus is on spiritual growth. “Read myths. They teach you that you can turn inward, and you begin to get the message of the symbols. Read other people's myths, not those of your own religion, because you tend to interpret your own religion in terms of facts - but if you read the other ones, you begin to get the message. Myth helps you to put your mind in touch with this experience of being alive. Myth tells you what the experience is.” (from The Power of Myth, Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth with Bill Moyers) Content Pathways: Story, Healing, Spirituality/ Grief and Bereavement/ Mental Health/ Community and Culture. This workshop is a 3-hour exploration into storytelling from the stimulus of Celtic mythology. There was a time in history when the ancient Celts were considered the fathers of Europe and their stories influenced and resonated throughout all the other mythologies of their time. Celtic myths became universal. In the tradition of the old Celtic bards, where a bard told of a past myth, a present myth, and from these divine a future myth, the participants of the workshop take on the role of a bard and go through this process of storytelling on the quest for healing. At the completion of this session, participants will be able to recognize similarities in old myths from the Celtic branch of the Native European spiritual path, and his or hers own life stories. The participant will learn to understand the metaphor of past myths, and apply it to the participants present healing. By using the imagination, participants will learn how to create a future myth from the participant's experience of his or hers personal collection of stories and self-legends.
