How I heard about AnythingArts.com
Anonymous tip.
Not too surprising, seeing how closely connected Anything Arts is connected to Sarasota's art scene. There's been lots of effort put into making this website as functional as it is attractive, and people respond to that. It will be up to the region's arts organizations, presenters, venues and promoters to support AnythingArts through their advertising buys. I'm hoping they all get behind this effort to optimize the regional art scene's information channels

Thanks for the AZ. info. I went to Prescott about 2 years ago and found it very expensive. Went to Abingdon VA. today and I wasn't too impressed. Someone wrote to me about Johnstown PA. and that sounds promising. We also checked out Oil City PA. a couple of weeks ago. I was accepted to their program but their taxes are out of line. I was also excepted to the Chattnooga TN. program but that didn't really click with me.
So as you can see John I am trying and doing my homework. Flagstaff sounds great but I don't know if they are offering any incentive like Johnstown is. Do you know if they are.
See money is tight and I am trying to find a place that I can afford and that I may be able to get pt. work to help. Looking forward to your new book but I can't wait that long (I don't think) until I do something.I'm truely opened to any suggestions. Thank you very much John!!!! Linda

Hello John,
I bought your book The 100 Best Small ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ and I've been studying it and getting in touch with many of the art councils of these town. I've also visited a few and have already lived in one of them.
But this book was written over 13 years ago and A LOT of things change in 13 years.
I hope you plan on writing another one REAL SOON!!!! Linda

Helllo out there!!! When are you coming to Florida? Let's be sure to meet up. I can also arrange introductions and a little tour, if you want. Rick

Hi John,

How are things? Are you preparing for your trip to Florida? Have concrete dates yet? Want to do any speaking while in the area?

We need to connect... let me know your plans.

Best, Rick

I've been toying with Google ads on my www.arttowns.com site and have found that many places don't have ad dollars pointed in their direction.
So I try to keep in mind that a La Jolla page will get Google ads while an Encinitas page won't, even though they're 10 miles apart.
In the AA rollout you've got Bellingham up early. I love Bham but it doesn't get turistas like Port Townsend or even Friday Harbor do.
I'm fine with AA using my content from any community profile and have asked my publisher to send me the final edited chapters from AT4 and ATC.
Thx on the free ad offer. It would be cool if the ad was a book cover with a Buy It Now link to Sarasota Books & News ... Do they set up affiliate links?
The FL trip in Dec goes from 12/2 to 12/11. I'm visiting Bradenton, Sarasota, Ft. M, Naples, KeyW, MiaBch, Boca, WPB, Daytona, NewSmyrnaBch, StAug.and maybe Melbourne or Winter Park.
Official ATC rollout is at West Hollywood Book Fair on 9/28.

HI John,

I am hard at work getting the touches done on St. Pete, Tampa and Bellingham. Would like to use your Bellingham content and link to your book again, if that is ok.... if so, send me the copy at my email.

Next on line are Naples and Ft Meyers and then Key West and Santa Fe... (you get a free ad for you or the org of your choice as our sign of appreciation). Of course, we hope that you'll invite your friends to join up.

Actually, I will reserve an ad for you on all sites when your book comes out. We need to talk about how we can help your new books too.

Thanks, Rick

Hi John,

The Bradenton site is now up, click here. Next week St. Pete and Tampa. Then Bellingham and Asheville and a dozen other cities. Our landing page will be up in a few days; that will be where visitors land and see a list of all the different cities to explore.

Thanks for your comments above. I am sure that there must be a way for us to help promote your next book. In fact, maybe we should talk about our putting sites up for all 30 FL spots in advance of your visit in December, and publishing, and then we could promote for you when the book is finished.

Have a good Sunday. Rick
