About Me

I am Publisher and Managing Editor of Venice Magazine, a new glossy lifestyle magazine about the greater Venice (Florida) area, with its inaugural issue slated for February 2009! I am the former co-creator and editor of The S2 Report, and former Senior Editor of SRQ Magazine and the Gulf Coast Business Review. I just came back from a year in California, where I took (and passed) the California bar exam and auditioned for pretty much every reality tv show out there (never did find the set of Hell's Kitchen, though)! I love creating and supporting intelligent, well-designed products that bring communities together in a positive, informed way! I am ALWAYS looking to work with talented people, and I strongly believe in supporting new folks who are trying to get known, whether in creative or entrepreneurial endeavors, or pretty much anything else. The things I like most about the Sarasota/Manatee area

The cultural opportunities, the great schools (I'm a mom, afterall), the surprising number of wonderful restaurants, and most of all, the amazing generosity and unflagging support of the people who live here.

My Interests & Hobbies

My kids. Writing. Meeting/ interviewing/ getting to know new people and hearing their stories -- I never get tired of hearing a great personal story. Playing poker (you might find me at the Sarasota Kennel Club sometimes).

Sitting at Mattison's downtown having a drink and an appetizer, listening to the live band in the cool night air... before or after I run into Whole Foods to buy something that I totally don't need for which I pay way too much!
