The things I like most about the Sarasota/Manatee area
Most everything, "jones" for some mountains now and then though.
My Interests & Hobbies
Traveling, kayaking, hiking, bouncing on horseback ( I am not really good at it) and basically enjoying anything that gets me back to nature or engages my senses. My favorite sound is the sound of the breeze in the leaves (especially if kicking back in a hammock with running water nearby).
My Favorite Local Restaurant
Selva Grill, Veggie Magic, Taste of Asia, YUME Sushi, Thailand
My Favorite Place to Experience the area the Way Locals Do
Hanging downtown and Towles Court or catching a film at Burns Court.
My Favorite Local Event(s)
There are so many, but Arts Day, Blues Festival and Efest are at the top
Hi Rick -- I just wanted to congratulate you once again (in case I haven't already) on the fabulous job you do with this network. It is such fun and so effective to be able to meet and interact with other artists in this way. I particularly enjoy the permissive spirit here that allows artists to express themselves. It is, in my opinion, the very ingredient that keeps this web site so vital, upbeat and entertaining. Clap! Clap! Cheer! Bravo! Well done! Thanks, Jack
Hi Rick... What a wonderful idea you had in creating this site! I will be headed down south in September after the summer season here which is very busy. I look forward to seeing the place that everyone here seems to have fallen in love with!
Who knew the amount of artistry, talent and many, many hours that go into every piece of custom designed jewelry?! This 5 minute video barely touches on the dozens of hours required for some of these treasures. Visit Bowman Originals at Pineapple and State St. , downtown Sarasota, soon!
Hi Rick -- "HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!" This is to invite you to Elysian Fields, where I will be giving Intuitive Readings on December 14 (10:30 - 3:30), December 16 (4 - 7:30 pm) and December 28 (10:30 - 5:30), if you're into that. I'd love to tell you about your aura and life path energy, or else answer any questions you may have. I've been seeing auras since birth and painting images of my visions since age three.
Please check out at my web site (shaman.mosaicglobe.com) or Elysian Fields' web site (elysianfieldsonline.com) for more info. You may also call me (415-244-9445) or call Elysian Fields (941-366-4982) for an appointment. I look forward to having the chance to meet you.
Nice speaking with you too! Thanks for your support with the "I Am Home" project. Ran into Janet last night and she going to get the pictures. One of us will make sure you get them. Stop by during the Holiday Market if you can!
Thanks for keeping us up to date on the arts happenings. I've been busy playing in concerts (last weekend POPS, this weekend AMICCO). But the rare times when things slow down, it's nice to know there's other things around, nice to be an audience occasionally.

Hi Rick,
Thanks for the warning about that word.
I've changed my mind about being unscribed. Just cause I don't live in Fl. any more I would still like to know what is happening in the art world there. Especially a heads up on the up and coming shows.
Hope that's OK that I changed my mind~~~Hey I'm a woman isn't that allowed :) Linda

Hi Rick -- Whenever I'm on the network, it seems as if you and a couple of other people are always the other "Whos Online" members along with me. Thus, I thought I'd say hello. Please visit my web site at:

And keep me in mind for set design and such should you ever need assistance. I'm at home with foam, paint, cardboard, carpentry, wire mesh, paper mache and you name it.
Till then becomes now. . .
Rick, thanks for your comments to my photo art. Most of my ideas come from my own deranged mind, and sometimes you see something in a pic that you take that you expand on. I have been light painting for about a year and continue to try and push the envelope and create images that have never been seen before. I will continue to try to improve and create more magic. Thanks, Duane
A friend took that of me standing at the peak of mountain in Maine. I don't recall the name. You been to one top of the mountain, you've been to them all. It wasn't a very tall mountain, only about 2000 feet, slightly too high to jump off of, though.
