Raised on the milltown streets of Hope, RI, a small town outside of Providence. Realizing early on that I held a strong passion for creating art, although never quite fitting in with lighthouse and seascape painters of the area, I ventured to Florida in 1996 to attend The Ringling School. Graduated in 2000 with a BFA in Computer Animation and sat in front of a computer for the two years following that, digitally sculpting for Aston Entertainment. Recognizing that I missed getting clay under my fingernails I cruised over to Bronzart Foundry for a five year stint, learning the art of Lost Wax Bronze Casting. Fulfilling a lifelong dream in the now, I am creating an artist/client service driven business named S.M.art Castings and Sculpture Services, LLC. My new enterprise resides at 2258 Industrial Blvd and it is here that other artists and I will create wondrous works of Art!

The things I like most about the Sarasota/Manatee area
Intimate small town feel with a sleek and classy appeal. Every character in this city appears to be an appropriate and essential addition to the dramatic social scene that I know as Sarasota. From the homeless man in City Park to the Cigarette Boat Captain launching his mega-love-toy by the Van Wezel, all are integral to the whole deal. Beautiful downtown heiress socialites share the stage with ambitious business women and prostitutes, yet all seem to fit and complete this richly diverse puzzle. The Sarasota that I've experienced over the past few years has been like recognizing an old friend in a place where moments earlier there were only strangers and intimidators. I feel like I've found a city where I can be comfortable in my own character.

Scott,
Was inspiring to meet you and see your wonderful works in progress! Thanks so much for your time and for reminding me to put some of my works up on my profile.
Let me know if you need help with promoting/organizing the upcoming workshops.
Scott,
Thank you and I would appreciate being kept abreast of what is happening there. I am a part-time Floridian and part-time Pennsylvanian, so I need advance notice on art events, so I have time to prepare. Thanks for the feedback.
And if I may say so, you have some very interesting and highly creative pieces of art. WOW!
