The Glenridge Performing Arts Center (7333 Scotland Way, Sarasota) is proud to present The Magic of Music and Art, co-produced by GPAC and Sarasota Concert Band – Saturday, November 17 at 8:00 p.m.

The Magic of Music and Art will feature musical selections such as  “Scenes From the Louvre” (Dello Joio), “Hymn to Red October” (Poledouris), “Blow, Gabriel, Blow” (Porter), “Big Band Bash – Artistry in Motion” (Lowden) and “Selections from Annie – The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow” (Strouse).

“Audiences love Sarasota Concert Band music because it’s invigorating, energizing and refreshing”, says William Barbanera, Artistic Director. “It’s classical, sing-able and even jazzy. There’s something for everyone so they leave feeling great about life.”

Sarasota Concert Band is the preeminent symphonic band in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. As a nonprofit corporation, their purpose is to promote good band literature with concerts that showcase music in superior performances. Sarasota Concert Band is one of the “Top 5” professional concert bands in the world with Ringling roots back to 1925. As a 50-piece wind and percussion ensemble, their mission is to entertain the Sarasota area audiences so that they feel good about life.
